Patience in your Business
Hi! It’s me, Helle from Greenie-Online, and today I would like to talk with you about patience in your business, because patience is one of the things you will need to have if you want to succeed.
At the beginning of your business, it’s going to take a little while before you see results, and to illustrate this, I want you to imagine a baby kale plant sown into a pot. When you pull the baby plant in its clump of soil out of the pot, you see that even in as short as 10 days, it will have put out long roots. When looking at the bottom of the plant in the soil, you’ll see a tangle of roots.
What the plant is doing is it’s putting out a tiny little sprout in the beginning, and then it grows a lot of roots under the sprout into the soil to make its foundation. It does not start to grow into a big plant until the foundation is set. It has to have a very firm net of roots before it’s stable enough to grow into a big plant.
The same thing is happening in your business.
First, you set out a tiny little plant, and then you make sure to have your roots go deep into the soil. You do this by getting better at what you’re doing. You make sure you do your marketing right, and you make sure you show up as an expert. When you have your roots firmly in the ground, you’re ready to grow into a big plant
Now, this takes time, so you have to be patient. It cannot be done in a week or a month. It might take a whole year or maybe two or three years, depending on your business. So be patient and keep growing your foundation — your roots — because they are very important.
I would like to see you grow as well as a baby kale plant does. I hope this was an inspiration for you, and I’ll see you next time. Now, go grow your own business!
